Apple Sour Cream Cake Apple Sour Cream Cake
  • 125g Butter 
  • 1 C Sugar (White or Brown)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 C Sour Cream
  • 1t Vanilla Essence
  • 2 C Flour
  • 1 t Baking Soda
  • 1/4 t Salt
  • 2 t Cinnamon
  • 2-3 Apples peeled and chopped

Cream the Butter and Sugar, add the Eggs and Sour Cream and Vanilla and mix well.  Mix in the dry ingredients and then fold in the apple. Cook at 180 C for approx 45 min (until set) cooking time will be influenced by the size and number of apples.  You can sprinkle a mixture of chopped nuts, sugar and melted butter to the top on the cake before cooking as a topping if desired.  Great served with whipped cream.
